… Xman getting a ladybug on the move!!!
Today at sports class the boys got to make their own juggling balls. How nifty and fun, I say!
We used biodegradable balloons and rice in baggies. It’s simple:
Cut the long end off of a balloon. Stuff the balloon with a bag of rice about the size of a child’s fist. Stretch the balloon to fit over the rice and then add another balloon over the first to hide the hole. And your done!
Fun!!
Of course I go to take this pic of L and he seems so serious!
today I got to sleep in and oh, what a treat that was! I lay there for a half hour after waking, just enjoying the fact that I didn’t have to rush the day.
I showered and came downstairs to two boys with big smiles on their faces and “Marry You” by Bruno Marrs playing in the background (this is Xman’s new favourite song as he just heard it yesterday in a store). What a treat it was to see the floor decorated with little cutouts of stars, hearts and flowers in an array of colours. The boys directed me to the table to give me a card made by Steve on the computer but the boys had a hand in all the ideas.
this was perfect.
after reading the cards and getting handed a cup of nice hot tea – the best ever when Steve makes it! – I called Nanna and Papa and we chatted for a bit. It was very nice and I do miss them so. Can’t wait for May!
the rest of the day was just as sweet and I enjoyed the down time of not making food, cleaning, teaching or working. what a treat!!! I got to read and even knit a bit…oh, and play a game of Mousetrap where I was the first to get caught!
after dinner the boys (all three) danced around and then we took some fun family pics.
thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes.
~love~
We finally got our act together to get the Xman baptized. Whew! He was a little reluctant at first but when I told him there would be a little celebration afterward with cake he was all for it. He did great at the church, no shyness at all. Really proud of my boy. It was a wonderful day, weather and all.
Here are a few pics for now. Will post more when I have time to edit!
Oh, and the boys LOVE the telescope – they could hardly wait to use it! Thank you, Godparents! 🙂
~Blessings~
This last one is an iPhone shot of the leaves on the trees out the boys window with the telescope. Just incase it’s hard to tell… 😉
Uh-hum. Normally, I’d be happy to see it being 25 outside. But, it is only March 22nd. Definitely not a good thing. This is July weather or even August.
I have to say its too hot for me.
So thank you, beautiful life-giving sun. Bad timing though but that’s not your fault. That’s us. Yep. Silly, humans.
But, the fresh air and shine out there is a great reason to be outside after the winter we had full of cold dampness and only five days of snowing, I think.
So, I celebrate and heed the warning at the same time. I hope I’m not the only one.
Tam 🙂
