some interesting Canadian geography facts!

Just playing the Geography of Canada game and we found out this interesting fact:

Treasure Island in Lake Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron is the “Largest island in a freshwater lake on an island in a freshwater lake in the world.”

Did you get that? If it sounds confusing (a little!) read this:

Isn’t Canada cool?

More to come when I edit the pics on my camera. 🙂 Yes, I actually used my camera!

crafty boys

A few days ago L decided to make me some earrings using a Fiskars heart punch and paper clips. So very ’80’s and I just love them. Yes, I have worn them out of the house and even to work!

I came upon a cool post on a blog I follow showing different ways to re-use toilet paper rolls. Some great ideas abound! X chose to do this one:

Okay, I think I really need to start using my real camera more often. Speaking of that…I did grab my camera for this shot of the moon the other night from boys’ window.

An unusual day today, weather-wise

Uh-hum. Normally, I’d be happy to see it being 25 outside. But, it is only March 22nd. Definitely not a good thing. This is July weather or even August.

I have to say its too hot for me.

So thank you, beautiful life-giving sun. Bad timing though but that’s not your fault. That’s us. Yep. Silly, humans.

But, the fresh air and shine out there is a great reason to be outside after the winter we had full of cold dampness and only five days of snowing, I think.

So, I celebrate and heed the warning at the same time. I hope I’m not the only one.

Tam 🙂

March 21 and 24 Celsuis

Today the boys had their morning at the art gallery. They always enjoy going around the gallery and seeing new work that inspires them to create. I love it too!

Afterward, we went to our car on the waterfront and there was a tall ship docked nearby so we went aboard. Wouldn’t you?

Then we came home for a quick lunch and out again to Grandma and Grandpa’s for some chalk play. The boys had a great time.

Beautiful day. Absolutely. Perfect.
